Mark Gale

Mark Gale is the managing director and founder of StartWrite Consultants. The company was formed with the objective of delivering a broader and more cohesive one-stop-shop consultancy service. Mark was inspirational in creating the close knit group of Startwrite Consultants now based throughout the UK. Mark's recent assignments include product design and sales strategy for a UK broadband provider, planning and installation of a government voice recognition system and mobile communications remote worker strategy design and implementation. Prior to forming StartWrite, Mark worked for American Express, Dell, The National Archive and other government institutions.



Ian Churcher

With over 20 years successful experience of trouble shooting, and devising, tuning and implementing effective strategies to turnaround and grow businesses of all shapes and sizes, Ian has spent the last three years successfully helping business owners and senior managers design and implement specific business strategies to achieve financial and personal gain.

With a background covering Research & Development, Design, Manufacture, Sales, Marketing, Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and general staff development and support in organisations both large and small, Ian has the broad experience, understanding and knowledge to build effective and sustainable business. Ian is well qualified with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics and an MBA gained whilst working full time, which allowed him the opportunity to develop practical application of the knowledge and approaches learnt.



Alison Hough

Alison was awarded her LLB from the University of London in 1996 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1997. She has specialised in employment law both in practice and through her teaching at several leading Universities and Business Schools. Alison has published a number of legal textbooks including three editions of ‘Employment Law’ a practical textbook for students and HR practitioners. Through Emplex Employment Law Consultants Alison has advised and acted for a wide range of companies on issues as diverse as employee restructuring, tribunal representation and compromise agreements. Her expertise is in finding practical solutions that ensure issues get resolved with the minimum of disruption to the clients business and in a cost effective manner.



Peter Hough

Peter has more than 25 years experience in the corporate environment with companies such as British Airways and Toyota. Peter’s expertise is in leading operational activity with a focus on cost reduction and customer service. With the backing of a Law degree from the University of London specialising in Employment Law, Peter has extensive experience of the realities of employment law in the workplace and is well placed to advise on practical cost effective solutions to employment problems that may arise in the workplace.



Rowan Johnson

Passionate about personal and professional development, Rowan has enjoyed a varied and exciting career. For many years she was a primary school teacher and physical education lecturer before becoming an Executive and Performance Coach. She works in the fields of business coaching, stress management, sports performance and helping people make a transition. She gets her buzz from mentoring, training, motivating and coaching individuals to maximise their potential and has worked with large corporate companies such as AXA as well as small private companies and the public sector. Committed to continuous individual and professional development, she is a Master NLP Practitioner, Time Line Therapist and Hypnotherapist, Stress Management Counsellor, Style Coach and Personal Trainer.



Richard Fallon

Richard is a dynamic, creative, and highly experienced voice and communication skills trainer and coach who utilises a unique skills set and approach to enable clients to communicate more effectively in their professional and personal lives. Sensitively combining an eclectic set of powerful, transformative elements, he designs and deliver thrilling and insightful trainings that respond very precisely to individual and group needs. Ben Llewellyn

Ben Llewellyn is the managing director and founder of SLIB Design. SLIB Design has been providing web solutions to small and medium sized businesses for many years. Our experienced team work with entrepreneurs that want more from their existing website or want a new website that works for their business. We work with business leaders to find their online marketing strengths. We do this by providing a service that triggers business growth. SLIB build brochure, ecommerce and bespoke function websites.




Robert Isherwood-Crook

Robert Isherwood-Crook has worked within the ITC marketplace since the late 70's initially concentrating on the emerging PC market and then moving into the IBM and Amdahl 3rd party maintenance across Europe with Circle. In 1985 Robert moved in to what was to become Ascom eventually running the call logging business in the UK. He spent 9 years running his own software company specialising in contact centre management systems and electronic phone directories for major corporate. Since then he has worked in several disciplines within voice communications, and is currently looking at the implications of call recording and fixed to mobile convergence.



Andy Carter

Andrew Carter has more than 20 years experience in the design, implementation and support of network infrastructures in a variety of organisations such as British Telecom, Thorn EMI, Marks & Spencer, and International Computers Ltd. Recently, Andrew has been working with a leading supplier of anti-malware solutions within email environments, and has been instrumental in assisting with design and deployment of their product offerings. Andrew has a detailed knowledge of email and its associated protocols. He has been instrumental in transforming these anti-malware solutions into world beaters in the fight against unsolicited bulk email. Andrew's earlier career was focused on managing client support and acting as the interface between IT professionals and the end user community. So whilst remaining highly technical in terms of managing the network infrastructure, he has the ability to communicate easily at all levels.



Catherine Hawkes

Catherine Hawkes has worked in telecommunications since 1999. Her specialty is bill analysis and she has a keen eye for spotting anomalies. Catherine has worked in a variety of telecoms companies from small to large, the changes taking place always because of company takeovers. Because of her excellent Account Management skills and genuine interest in her clients' best interests, they have remained loyal throughout every change. Catherine has a background in working with people at all levels in organisations. She has excellent presentation and communications skills and demonstrates a highly analytical approach to problem solving and a determination to find the right solution for each individual requirement.



Roger Shakeshaft

Roger Shakeshaft has 20 years experience of delivering complex and demanding IT implementations and business change programmes for both public and private sector clients. Starting as a programmer, Roger progressed through IT project and service management to become an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) qualified professional and an advisor to the European Commission on ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) management best practice.

For the last 20 years, Roger has focussed on helping clients to reduce risk and maximise business benefit from their IT and telecoms investments through the application of proven programme management and business process re-engineering methodologies. Roger has planned and managed programmes for: office refurbishments and removals, dealer floor and data centre re-locations, organisation and business process restructures, software developments and technology upgrades, and telecoms systems and network projects. Roger's clients include both large and small organisations in the Transport, Services, Financial, Petrochemical and Manufacturing sectors.



Millicent Grant

Millicent Grant, the director of Novavista Limited, and lead provider of the company's services, has over 12 years experience in local government following a number of years working in the private sector. She has management experience in the public sector as well as over 10 years parallel experience as a trustee and management team member in the voluntary sector. Following a career as a commercial lawyer, she worked for over 8 years with an inner London borough as an employment lawyer, advising on Corporate HR policies and conducting complex Employment Tribunal cases covering all aspects of employment law. She has conducted and trained staff to conduct Equality Impact Assessments in accordance with the Equality Standard for Local Government.
